Stereomicroscopic Evaluation of Dentinal Microcracks After Instrumentation of Curved Canal with Rotary Files in Two Motions

چکیده

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effects of three distinct file systems with two motion types—rotary and reciprocation—on development dentinal microcracks after root canal preparation using a stereomicroscope. Methods: Sixty mandibular molars curvature 30° were decoronated divided into groups (Vortex Blue, Mtwo, ProTaper Next) subgroups (rotary reciprocating motions). The samples then instrumented files, dyed 1% methylene blue dye, sectioned horizontally at 3, 6, 9 mm from apex. inspected stereomicroscope 40× magnification. One-way analysis variance post hoc Tukey tests used perform statistical analysis. Results: Crack formation was statistically significant 6-mm 9-mm levels apex in both motions (p < 0.05). Among all system, Vortex Blue caused highest 6 Conclusion: resulted fewer than rotary motion. All during motions. Dentinal microcrack not

Incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation: reciprocating versus rotary instrumentation.

INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation with reciprocating instruments (Reciproc and WaveOne) and rotary instruments. METHODS One hundred human central mandibular incisors were randomly assigned to 5 groups (n = 20 teeth per group). The root canals were instrumented by using the reciprocating single-file systems Rec...

Comparative evaluation of fracture and defect in reciproc and rotary files in severe curved root canals

Introduction: Root canal instrumentation is an important phase in root canal therapy. Since success in endodontic treatment depends on file defect and fracture, the aim of this study was to compare the evaluation of defect and fracture in rotary and reciproc files in severe curved root canals. Materials & Methods: In this experimental study, 60 mesial canals of human closed apex molars with ...

Torque during canal instrumentation using rotary nickel-titanium files.

Nickel-titanium engine-driven rotary instruments are used increasingly in endodontic practice. One frequently mentioned problem is fracture of an instrument in the root canal. Very few studies have been conducted on torsional characteristics of these instruments, and none has been done under dynamic conditions. The purposes of this study were to measure the torque generated and the apical force...

A Stereomicroscopic Evaluation of Dentinal Cracks at Different Instrumentation Lengths by Using Different Rotary Files (ProTaper Universal, ProTaper Next, and HyFlex CM): An Ex Vivo Study

Introduction. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the dentinal cracks after root canal preparation with rotary files: Gates Glidden, ProTaper Universal, ProTaper Next, and HyFlex CM at different instrumentation lengths. Methodology. Sixty-five mandibular premolars were mounted in the acrylic tube with simulated periodontal ligaments and the apex was exposed. The root canals were instru...
